The ‘love of coffee’ and ‘love of all life’ was the seed that started the journey. We believed that our business will not only be a school but the connection between the participants and neighboring hospitality businesses looking for trained people. We wanted to bring together what we love, Coffee and People!

OUR FAMILY
Gulay and Dion, with extensive backgrounds in hospitality, bring a diverse range of experiences to NOKD Pty Ltd.
Combining their expertise, they’ve crafted a business model that accommodates their family time and allows the pursuit of their passions! Dion has focused on expanding his skills in training, e-learning, and consulting for cafes, restaurants, and commercial cookery. Meanwhile, Gulay, inspired by her father, has ventured into starting a café training school with the vision of it becoming a model for future sites in every local government area.
THE FOUR BEANS
NOKD – Noah, Omer, Karci, Dion.
NBA Grounds was a fluke name that came about with the words Barista and Academy next to the company name NOKD. The first initials together make N B A… Now we knew there might be some who might associate us with the National Basketball Association but eventually the initials will be clear to all. Although the mix up would be ok too.
